Michael is the founder of Cape Custom Homes, a luxury boutique home builder serving the Lake Norman and greater Charlotte, North Carolina area.

Rooted in heritage and refined through experience, Michael brings a multi-generational legacy of craftsmanship to every project. Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, he was shaped by a family lineage of builders that began with his grandfather, where excellence wasn't optional, it was expected.

Today, Michael combines architectural vision, disciplined execution, and uncompromising standards to create homes that are both structurally exceptional and deeply personal. He is also co-owner and lead designer at Pelican Pools & Design, a third-generation company specializing in elevated outdoor environments, a defining signature of his builds.

Known for his precision, eye for proportion, and relentless attention to detail, Michael approaches every home as a legacy project, one that must stand the test of time in both craftsmanship and design.
